DLC

Introduction

DLC or the Discrete Logic Computer is an ongoing project, where I attempt to design and build a fully functional (and usable) computer, from the ground up, using only basic electronic components.

The end goal is a system comparable to the homebrew computers of the 1970s and 19080s; this is the era of the 6502 and Z80 microprocessors.

This is a very lofty goal, and will require learning a lot about computer architecture, both analog and digital electronics, low level programming and much more.

This is why I the DLC project will have multiple iterations. This will allow for a gradual build-up in complexity and make some proof-of-concepts before jumping into the final build.

Hopefully I have peaked your interest and you are as excited as I am about this project; if so, continue reading to follow along!
