About
Who am I?
Hi đź‘‹, I am Pieter-Jan Cassiman. I am a software architect from Belgium, currently working at Accomodata, where my primary focus is O4F; an ERP software for the fashion industry.
I have always been curious about the world around me, and for as long as I can remember, I have been driving by an appetite to learn more, about various topics. This curiosity has led me to try and explore various topics, a few have managed to peak my interest and have become staples in my life.
The most important being:
- Photography (see www.pcassima.net for my portfolio)
- Programming
- Electronics
- Geology
- …
I am passionate about learning as well as teaching and helping others; this is where this website comes in.
What is Transistories?
This is a very good question…
I have had the transistories.org
domain for several years and always had the idea of making an open and accessible website with information on electronics. Mostly detailing my own projects, experiences and journey.
I first registered this domain in 2020, and immediately started working on the website. For the next 5 years I kept working on the website, making new iterations and improvements. However due to life and my own perfectionism, I wasn’t ever able to build and finish a website that I was happy with.
However I also learned a lot in those 5 years, about programming, design, but also about how to deal with my perfectionism. This has lead to me finally making a design that I am happy with and finally publishing the website and starting to work on content for it.
The one constant that has remained, is my vision for an open, free and accessible website. In line with the philosophy behind open-source. Please see the manifesto for more information on this vision.
